Spirit Born. Biblical Worldviews. Kingdom Living.RFC begins with the same assumption as the Bible: That God exists, that He is the creator, sustainer, redeemer and judge of mankind and that He has revealed Himself in His creation, in His Word and most completely in the incarnation of Christ His divine son who was crucified and resurrected for the sin of mankind. RFC is not about apologetics. The truth needs no defense and the best evangelism is a personal pursuit of Godliness. Spurgeon said it best: "You don't defend the Bible any more than you would a roaring lion. Just open the cage and let it out." The truth of scripture is not defended, it is proclaimed. RFC is not about current events or public policy. The evil of men should not direct the agendas of the people of God. Righteousness is a side effect of regeneration, not a standard of behavior. The world is changed when its people are transformed from the inside out. The goal is redemption, not morality. RFC is not about commercialized Christianity or self improvement. Believers were commanded to build disciples, not churches or spiritual industries. Christianity is not a product to be packaged and sold, it is timeless and transformational. The principles take moments to learn and a lifetime to master. RFC promotes discipleship. This is the whole of the great commission: to make disciples of all men, teaching them all things Christ has comanded. Here is the relationship of teacher and student - to train, model, equip, and entrust that which we have learned to faithful men who will teach others also. RFC lives in the real world of Monday morning job stress and Friday night temptations. The frontlines of the believer's warfare are won and lost in moments of hunger, anger, lonliness and fatigue. When we identify our unmet needs before Satan exploits them, we overcome. RFC demands more from our churches than self-service, in-fighting and emotional experience. Budgets and behavior must reflect Kingdom priorities and our facilities must serve the lost, hurting, hungry and broken more than the religous exercise of the saved. If we love Him, we will feed His sheep. |
